IPCamLapse 0.4: install it with WinGet or run it in Docker

Our open-source time-lapse tool for IP cameras now installs with one command on Windows and runs as a container on amd64 and arm64.

IPCamLapse is a small open-source web app that takes snapshots from IP cameras on a schedule and turns them into time-lapse videos. It is released under the Apache 2.0 license, and people outside Kalytera have contributed to it.

Version 0.4.4, released on September 4, 2026, is easier to install:

  • Windows: winget install KalyteraSystems.IPCamLapse
  • Docker: docker pull ghcr.io/kalyterasystems/ipcamlapse (amd64 and arm64 images)
  • Windows and Linux archives on GitHub Releases

It needs FFmpeg to render videos, and it comes with a demo camera so you can try it without any hardware.

The code, issues and discussions are on GitHub. If you would like to help, the open issues are a good place to start. Our other open-source project, OpenCamInterop, is described on the same page.
