Three ways to connect cameras
Pick the one that suits each site. RTMP push and the Bridge Agent only make outbound connections, so nothing has to be opened on the site's firewall.
- RTSP pull: we fetch the stream from a camera or recorder that our servers can reach.
- RTMP or RTMPS push: the camera, encoder or recorder sends its stream to us with its own key.
- Kalytera Bridge Agent: installed on a Windows or Linux machine at the site, it finds Axis, Dahua and Hikvision cameras as well as ONVIF ones on the local network and relays their video.
- Stream keys are per camera and can be rotated at any time.

Live view
Camera grids with saved layouts, detection overlays, zoom and full screen, next to a panel of active alarms.
Playback and search
Several cameras in sync, search by object class such as people or vehicles, bookmarks and MP4 export.
Recording
Continuous, Motion or Scheduled. Continuous keeps full frame rate while something happens and one frame per second otherwise; Motion keeps only the activity. Kept from 1 to 30 days on S3-compatible storage.
Video analytics
Zone intrusion, Line crossing, Loitering and Overcrowding, with a snapshot and a clip attached to each alarm.
Alarms and incidents
Operators acknowledge, take over and resolve incidents with a full audit trail, and can share one through a link that expires after 1 hour to 7 days.
Alarm receiving
Receive SIA DC-09 alarms from panels and communicators, and forward alarms to your alarm receiving center over SIA DC-09.
One portal per customer
Each customer gets its own portal, users with administrator, operator or viewer roles, audit history and separate storage.
Kalytera app
iOS and Android, phones and tablets
The Kalytera app works with your Kalytera VMS installations and with Kalytera Cloud. Watch live video, play back recordings and handle alarms with push alerts, in English or Spanish. To sign in a phone to Kalytera VMS, scan a QR code from Configure and an administrator approves it.
