Live view and playback

Monitor shows live video. Investigate plays recorded video where your package includes recording. Each person sees the cameras and actions their role allows.

Watch live video

Open Monitor. Live video starts by itself in every tile, with no sound: Kalytera Cloud does not carry audio.

• Choose a Site, or All sites, to limit the cameras you can pick.
• Grid sets the number of tiles, and Edit layout offers layouts such as Side by side or one camera larger than the others.
• Display switches between Fit and Fill, turns Detection boxes on or off, and opens Fullscreen monitor.
• The Open alarms pane, or Open incidents for monitoring customers, lists what needs attention.

Each tile shows a status: LIVE, RECONNECTING, OFFLINE, or STANDBY. H.265 NOT SUPPORTED means that your device cannot decode the camera's H.265 video; use another device or browser, or set the camera to H.264.

Save views

Open View to switch between saved views. Arrange the grid, then select Save view…. New view starts an empty one, and Manage saved views lists your views so you can delete one. Clear grid removes every camera from the grid.

Tile actions

• Take snapshot saves a still picture of the tile.
• Instant replay plays the last moments of a recording camera. Choose how far back, then use Back 10s, Forward 10s, and Back to live.
• Remove from this view takes the camera out of the grid.

Live package: one live session

With the free Live package, one live session is shared by everyone in your portal. When someone else is watching, Monitor shows Live view is in use. Select Try again later, or Take over to move the session to you.

Play recorded video

Open Investigate. With recording, it opens on Recorded video, with your saved views and the Recent alarms of the cameras shown.

• Click the timeline to jump to that moment. Playback pauses there, and every tile follows the same timeline.
• Use the events filter to show All events, or only Objects or Motion, on the timeline.
• Select Add bookmark to name the current moment of the selected camera.

Recorded video is available a few seconds behind live, so you can review what just happened while the camera keeps recording.

Search for objects

Where your package includes analytics, select Search detected objects. In Object search, choose the Object type (Person, Bicycle, Car, Motorcycle, Bus, or Truck), the Camera, and the period From and To. Open a result to play it.

Alarm evidence

The clip stored with an alarm stays playable in Investigate even when the camera's routine recording is off. Select an alarm in Recent alarms and Open evidence. With Verify and no recording, Investigate shows this alarm evidence only.

Export a clip

Use Set start and Set end on the timeline, then Review export. The steps are in Recording, retention, and evidence.
