Kalytera Cloud is a private portal in your browser for live video, recordings, and alarms from your cameras. Kalytera runs the servers. Kalytera creates each customer's portal together with its first administrator, and a new portal starts with one Site named after the customer.

  1. Open the portal address Kalytera gave you.
  2. Enter your Email and Password, and select Sign in.

The sign-in page has no forgotten-password link. If you lose your password, ask an administrator of your portal to send you a reset link. To leave, select Sign out.

Find your way around

The rail on the left holds the main areas. Each person sees only the areas their role and your package allow.

AreaWhat it is for
MonitorLive camera grids, saved views, and the open alarms pane. See Live view and playback.
InvestigateRecorded video, Exports, Evidence holds, and Reports, each shown only to people allowed to use it.
AlarmsAlarms and incidents to acknowledge and resolve. See Alarms and incidents.
SitesYour physical locations and their setup. See Sites.
CamerasAdding and configuring cameras. See Connect cameras.
InsightsCurrent service status, storage allowance, and recent activity.
SettingsPortal-wide settings such as Retention, Video evidence, Alarms, and Audit history.

On a phone, the bar at the bottom shows Monitor, Investigate, Alarms, and More, which holds the other areas.

Check that cameras are online

The top bar shows Cameras online. Open it for Camera & storage: how many cameras are offline, disabled, or in error, and whether recording is up to date.

For one camera, open Cameras and select it in the list. Its Overview shows its status, such as Online, Streaming, Offline, or Disabled.

What your package includes

Kalytera Video comes in three packages:

  • Live (free): one Site, up to eight cameras, a single-camera grid, and one live session shared by everyone in your portal, with camera offline and back-online alarms. It has no recording, analytics, or stored evidence.
  • Verify: adds video evidence on alarms, incident portals, and sending alarms to a monitoring station.
  • Verify + VMS: adds cloud recording, timeline playback, retention, and export.

The paid packages can add analytics, image checks, and Bridge Agents. Kalytera Monitoring is a separate configuration for alarm receiving operators. Pages and sections that your package does not include are hidden.

Language

The portal is available in English and in Spanish. Until you choose, your browser's language decides. To change it, use the language button at the bottom of the rail.

Set up your portal

This order works well for a new portal:

  1. Create a Site for each physical location: Sites.
  2. Connect the cameras: Connect cameras.
  3. Set recording and retention: Recording, retention, and evidence.
  4. Add analytics rules and image checks where your package includes them: Analytics rules and Image checks.
  5. Decide how alarms are handled: Alarms and incidents.
